Dr. Amini: The graduation ceremony will make Tehran University of Medical Sciences proud
The Alumni office has held a dialogue with the heads of the university faculties on the eve of the 8th integrated celebration. You can read the interview with Dr. Mohsen Amini, the head of the Faculty of Pharmacy.
Dr. Thank you for your time. As you know, after three years of break, the integrated celebration will be held on Thursday, July 28th of this month. How do you see this celebration as the head of the faculty?
If you allow me to express my opinion in two ways. I am a graduate of Tehran University of Medical Sciences and if I say from the point of view of a graduate and scholar, graduating from a mother and reference university in the country is an honour. After years away from the university, when the graduates return to the university environment, the memories of their studies come alive for them, which is a very good feeling for a graduate. Especially since this university, as the name of Tehran University and its authority in the country, doubles this honour and this feeling, and if I say from the perspective of the head of the faculty, the graduates of this faculty and university are the children of the university who have become bright children and They are the best in their field and have made the name of the university proud.
How do you think the reflection of this celebration will be?
In my opinion, due to the interruption in the celebration, a thirst has been created to attend the gatherings, definitely by attending this celebration, the interest of the graduates to maintain connection and participation with the university will increase, especially the graduates of recent years, because they were deprived of this experience.
Part of this celebration is the ceremony of appreciation for selected professors and students, how do you think the reflection of this recognition will be?
Many of our graduates deserve recognition and honour. Appreciating a student creates a sense of pride in him because he receives a valuable award from an best university, which is the result of his own efforts and the efforts of the university, and the appreciation of a top professor also gives him the same feeling. He feels that his efforts were so valuable from the eyes of the graduates, colleagues and the group that he has achieved such an honour and it makes him feel satisfied with his performance and continue on his way with more energy. At the same time, this positive energy is transferred to his colleagues.
As a student of this university and the head of the faculty, what suggestion do you have to make this celebration better?
In my opinion, information is very important. Considering the summer season and the completion of students' exams, and the fact that some students may have defended themselves and lost their connection with the university, information plays an important role in the participation of graduates. Alumni offices also play a key role in this important matter.
Can you say a congratulatory message and a lasting word for the graduates?
Congratulations to the graduates of the Faculty of Pharmacy for graduating from the most prestigious university in the country. I will tell you an instructive sentence from one of the thinkers (of course, I don't remember his name). He said in his words that problems by themselves should not have an effect on your performance and should not make you disappointed. Let's look at the solution and fix it, not as a dominant phenomenon. Anyway, I think that our graduates has faced some difficulties during his studies, but due to the high level of education at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, he should be prepared to endure the bigger problems that he will face in his professional life. The experience gained at this level of study will be the light of the way for the future life.
