Dr. Getmiri: I ask you (students) to remember this memorable day in your life and do not give up on your commitments to the country.

The head of the alumni office in addition appreciating the support of the university president for holding this ceremony asked the university authorities to help these energetic and competent resources in building the country by paving the way for progress.

According to the public relations report of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Alumni Office, the 8th graduation ceremony for graduates of Tehran University of Medical Sciences was held from 19:00 on Thursday, July 28, 2022 with the presence of the head of the medical system organization, the president of the university, the deans and the board of directors of faculties,  Selected professors  and about 900 students of the academic year 1401-1400 along with their families with a population of over 2000 people was held in the southern area of ​​the medical school.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Quran by Dr. Sajjadi, one of the students of the Faculty of Health, and also recitation of the national anthem of the Islamic Republic of Iran, followed by a clip of the words of the late professor Muslim Bahadri, the former head of the university's alumni office, and then a video congratulatory message from the heads of the faculties was played for students participating in this ceremony.

Dr. Seyedmansour Getmiri, the head of the University's Alumni Office, began his speech by reciting a poem in memory of Professor Bahadri and continued: First of all, I would like to say that I did not want to start my speech without mentioning Professor Bahadri, who was the founder of the integrated celebration and the pillar of the alumni office. For a long time after losing our teacher, we felt homesick whenever we entered his room. Today, I congratulate you on this celebration, which is the result of Dr. Bahadri's efforts.

He then welcomed all the students and their families and also appreciated the support of the university president and said: Today I congratulate all of you (elite students of the country), as well as to your families because of your success and to all the university professors who are seeing the results of their many years of hard work.

Dr. Getmiri continued: I would like to thank you, dear students, for making this memorable day by participating in this celebration. I would also like to thank Dr. Ghenaati, the president of the university, who helped us organize this celebration with his support.

Referring to the problems in holding this ceremony, he said: due to the problems that had to be solved and due to the three-year break due to the corona virus, which health regulations did not allow us to hold the celebration, we faced fluctuations, which were resolved with the support of the university president.

In while, thanking Professor Bahadri's scientific and cultural foundation for accepting part of the expenses of this ceremony, Dr. Getmiri thanked the vice president of support, vice president of finance and budget and physical protection of the university for holding this celebration.

He continued: Remember this memorable day in your life. Always be grateful to your parents. Know what nights and days they worked hard for you to reach this stage. Appreciate the university, the Islamic country and dear Iran, and if there is a problem, try to build your country with your colleagues. I also ask the university authorities to help these energetic resources and competent human resources in building the country by paving the way.

In another part of his speech, he honoured the memory of Dr. Dawaee, an prominent and well-educated surgeon of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, a member of the American Association of Surgeons and one of the prominent surgeons in Asia, who recently died, and said: Although he could have the best life in abroad he spent the best moments of his life in Ahvaz during the war. In terms of professional commitment, Dr. Dawaee was committed to the issues of professionalism. Having up-to-date information, honesty with the patient, and confidentiality were among his most important moral qualities.

In the end, Dr. Getmiri asked the students not to give up on their commitments to the country.

In the following, an appreciation ceremony was held for the selected professors and graduates of the university, and then the oath was read by Professor Dr. Yahya Dalati, a member of the Alumni Office.

Explaining that the beginning of this ceremony was a live music performance by the students of Music  centre and the end of it was a live music performance by Mustafa Ragheb.
