Dr. Nikbakht: Being together is the best gift for students, and holding an integrated celebration will bring about a new dynamic in the university
The Alumni office has held a dialogue with the heads of the university faculties on the eve of the 8th integrated celebration. You can read the interview with Dr. Alireza Nikbakht, the head of the nursing school.
Dr. Thank you for your time. As the first question, as you know, the integrated celebration will be held on Thursday, July 28th of this year after a three-year break. How do you look at this celebration as the head of the faculty?
I also thank all the executives of this magnificent celebration. In my opinion, this is a very good custom that is also done by most of the great universities in the world. Having all of our graduates come together at a specific time creates a positive energy and creates a sense of organizational pride, solidarity and belonging. The integrated celebration is a lasting tradition and it will make the university family happy that it will happen again. I hope everyone can benefit from this celebration.
How do you think the reflection of this celebration will be?
Despite the corona virus and the disconnection of professional communication, these togetherness is the best gift to students and the university will witness a new movement in the field of graduates.
Part of this celebration is the ceremony of appreciation for selected professors and students, how do you think the reflection of this appreciation will be?
In the field of role modelling and succession, we must introduce practical and worthy models to students and graduates. The fact is that our students look at the chosen professors with an idealistic view and they think that our future can also become this person. Therefore, it is very important that faculties and environmental units select these people with the necessary criteria and with sensitivity and accuracy to have the necessary effectiveness. The chosen ones are evaluated and criticized both by other colleagues and by students who have dealt with them for four or six years. Celebrating the best as a role model is a good thing, while the accuracy of their selection is more important than introducing the role model itself.
As the head of a faculty whose students perform the most important service in the treatment department, what advice do you have for better holding celebration?
The stage of passing through education and studentship and entering the practical field of work and effort is a very important process. As much as this process is facilitated and the gaps are facilitated for students, we will prepare them to enter the field of therapy. We should pay attention to the fields of nursing and midwifery that they enter the field of practice in one of the most holy professions in the world and it is important to remind them of the importance of ethics and professional commitment and must tell them to appreciate this position.
Can you say a word to the graduates at the end?
Dear students, you must appreciate Tehran University of Medical Sciences and graduating from this important university. They should know that they are entering the field of one of the most holy professions, here it is very important to observe ethics and professional commitment. They should thank God for this opportunity and success, and thank their parents very much. They should kiss their hands and if they are not alive, they should recite Fatiha for them, they should definitely go to their graves and recite the Qur'an. Prepare themselves for higher and higher achievements that the society needs their services and know that the society will appreciate their efforts. I wish success to all of them and I sincerely congratulate them.
