TUMSAO News: These days most of alumni are being ready to participate in 4^th alumni integrated ceremony, pleas talk about graduation ceremonies around the world.

There are days in each life that are memorial. One of these days is graduation day that alumni and their parents collected around each other. In past years many parents were holding a celebration for themselves. After that this celebration was broadened more and classmates held one integrated ceremony. Gradually schools’ alumni held a ceremony for their graduates. About 4 years ago, we decided to hold this ceremony integrated, if you have a journey to USA, you will see alumni with gowns around the cities. Last week graduation celebration was held in Washington that about 10,000 alumni had participated and many people around this city knew about that.

Can you explain more about integrated ceremonies?

Alumni office could hold integrated ceremony within 2012-2014 and this year we want to hold integrated ceremony for 4^th time, for holding that we always have 2 problems, one thing we haven’t appropriate place and another thing is holding time for this ceremony. Because of holding time in Jun, weather is not known and we can’t predict weather situation.

What’s your opinion about holding this ceremony?

This is an appropriate action and alumni office has 3 aims for holding this ceremony. First of all we want to verify our ability in producing work force, secondary establishing close relation among schools and finally we want to verify that University’s budget has been used in science way and we hope other Universities pursue TUMS.

What’s your opinion about this point that how Universities can exploit this ceremony?

If Universities have more cooperation with students in this field we will have a more glorious ceremony and University will use this ceremony very much. One of most important aims of this University is more closing among University and students.

What’s your recommendation about alumni cooperation in this ceremony?

Fortunately, Directors board and University’s director have a good cooperation with our office. For example University’s director has a special approach to this ceremony and students’ cooperation in this ceremony is very important and it shows their interest. We have two parts in ceremony, one part belongs to students and their duty is providing ceremony programs like appropriate speeches, different scientific exhibitions, capturing collective images and ….

What’s your opinion about specialty groups’ presence?

This ceremony belongs to every alumnus and if scientific level grows it will be better. Unfortunately in Iran, social activities are very weak and higher levels alumni have a little cooperation while they must be main director in this ceremony. Unfortunately, this issue has not been drawn yet.

First of all, these works must be repeated and bear it better than past and higher level alumni must have more effective role.

What’s your message for participant alumni in this ceremony?

Reaching to graduation level from TUMS is a great achievement and even many people like to see this university, Studying is a very important work and many people like to have a close up view from this University. This ceremony is a great honor for alumni. I know for reaching to this level, many people have tried very much and I hope alumni can familiarize people with University’s aims and are ready for solving society’s problem.
