In the first session of the policy-making council of the sixth seminar on professional commitment in the health system, the review and pathology of the migration of the medical community was emphasized as one of the most important topics discussed.
The first meeting of the policy-making council of the 6th professional commitment seminar in the health system was held on Saturday 10th of September 2022 with the presence of Dr. Getmiri, Dr. Dowlati, Dr. Seyed ahmadian, Dr. RazmPa, Dr. Samadi and Dr. Zahedi and in the field of the main topic and secondary topics of the seminar, the groups Colleagues and also the time and manner of holding it were discussed.
At the beginning of this meeting, Dr. Getmiri, the head of the university's alumni office, stated that this year, various topics can be chosen as the main topic of the professional commitment seminar, but among the various topics, it seems that the issue of emigration of health elites is an important topic. He added that studying the reasons of migration factors can be the topic of the sixth professional commitment seminar.
In addition to planning the different dimensions of the issue, ways to prevent it should also be investigated and how to solve it should be put on the agenda of studies. He said that the presentation of the topic should be compassionate and patriotic, and therefore, Considering professor Bahadri's concern about the phenomenon of migration and its causes, in order to follow the professor's recommendation, we can make the subject of migration, the first chosen topic for the seminar.
He further called the lack of acceptance of assistantships as one of the biggest harms in the health field and expressed hope that we can take an effective step in improving the level of health services in the country with the pathology of the migration phenomenon.
This report indicates that Dr. Dowlati، meanwhile confirming and emphasizing the issue of immigration and its appropriateness as the subject of the sixth seminar on professional commitment in the field of health, He added: This issue has also been researched from the perspective of the Academy of Medical Sciences, and this indicates that this topic is appropriate for the seminar. we can provide a suitable solution for the country's officials.
Then, Dr. Seyed ahmadian, the secretary of the university's alumni office, emphasized the importance of immigration growth as a problem and said: low medical tariffs can be considered as one of the most important reasons for avoiding the continuation of doctors' activities inside the country.
Dr. Razmpa also pointed to the problems caused by the involvement of non-specialists and non-professionals in many fields of medicine and said that this problem causes great damage to the health system and he emphasized that this problem is also good in the sixth Professional commitment seminar should be considered as an important issue and it was mentioned that we need technical supervision to solve the problem. He also considered the problem of the involvement of non-specialist investors in the health field as another problem in this field.
In the continuation of the meeting, after the discussion and exchange of opinions of the members, it was decided that the issue of immigration as the main topic must be selected and its factors will be examined in this seminar.
Among the other issues raised in this meeting were the issues of conflict of interests, job security, reduction of professors' salaries, low medical tariffs, unusual taxes collected from doctors.
One of the most important reasons mentioned for the involvement of non-professionals such as technicians and hairdressers in medical services is the lack of monitoring of the activities of this group as well as the lack of compliance with the principles of professionalism by some people.
Regarding the cooperating organizations in holding this seminar, it was decided to invite representatives from the Medical System Organization, the Health and Treatment Commission of the Islamic Council, the Tax Administration, the Academy of Medical Sciences, the Scientific Associations, and the treatment deputy of health minister as scientific committee members and speakers.
Also, the time of holding the seminar in the late week of January (26th and 27th of January) 2023 was suggested, and it was decided to consider the another date after examining the possible obstacles. Also, regarding the way of holding the meeting, it was decided that the seminar will be held presently and on-line as well, and it will have retraining and cultural points.
