Dr. Bahadori foundation was inaugurated with aim of introducing elder of medical society, modelling for students, distribution of ethics and professional commitment, attracting alumni cooperation in order to qualitative and quantitative promotion of Tehran University of Medical Sciences in 7^th January with presence of Dr. Bahadori head of alumni office, Dr. dowlati professor of TUMS, Haj Doaee head of Ettelaat newspaper and members of Dr. Bahadori foundation.

            At the first of this meeting, Dr. Gatmiri after providing a brief report and said that this office of TUMS is a good example for modelling for other Universities and has received good offices from other alumni offices.

            He added:’ in order to destroy challenges and receiving financial or cash aids especially those alumni who are resident in abroad; we decided to establish a national non-governmental organization. Fortunately in 3 past years, preliminaries of this foundation have been provided and today professor Dowlati allocated a place for this office and this is a beginning point for more supports from alumni office.’

            He added: ’Prof. Bahadori is practical pattern that has provided many educational, scientific and research services for more than 70 years;

            Respect to concerns about professional commitment in medical field, one of important works that must be done in this office is spreading of professional commitment especially in medical society to solve medical problems of society;

            Dr. Gatmri added:’ accordance to financing obstacles and activity of alumni in abroad or in the country, we decided to find scientific, cultural foundation of Dr. Bahadori.’

            He added:’ this case will lead to enhance non-governmental aids to our foundation.’ He said that one of our aims was establishing scientific contacts among university and alumni and establishing scientific research, welfare and research facilities.

            After him, Dr. sayed ahmadian added:’ Aim of Dr. bahaori foundation is that spreading professional commitment in society. this year, 3^rd congress of professional commitment will be held in 21^st February, it includes some scientific speeches, in the forms of panels in the field of ethics and professional commitment and in festival part will be appreciated from 5 top scientists in this field.’

            Secretary of alumni office at the end of his speech announced an account number: 25337662 for monitory aids.

            At following this meeting, Dr. Dastjerdi said:’ one of our sweetest moments in student course was presence in class of prof. Bahadori that educated not only science but also teaching humanity.’ She added:’ this foundation has a deep root in soil of University’

            She also added:’ I hope more welcoming from alumni will be done and his scientific character will be brighter for futures.’ She emphasized that one of activities in scientific, cultural foundation of Dr. Bahadori is education of other professors to teach students.

            Dr. dowlati faculty member of dr. Bahadori foundation noted to article of ‘how we can save university’ and said:’ each human has two mothers, A physiology mother and a scientific mother, that it is our University.’

            At following this meeting he added:’ from past 5 years, alumni entrance 1959 had some activities in the field of aiding to society like construction of student house and treatment centers.’

            Dr. Bahadori head of alumni office in this opening ceremony said:’ I thanks to respectful professors in this ceremony and specially Mr. Doaee that manage ettelaat newspaper folks.’

            He added:’ University has essential role in development of society but there is an important issue that Universities cannot be managed with governmental budget, duty of University is not just upbringing of alumni, folk role of University is more important and we decided to manage it independently and we inaugurate that through this way.’

            He emphasized that 70% of budget of great Universities like Harvard is supplied through alumni aids. We have 3000 alumni of TUMS that are busy in USA that are ready to cooperate with us that we can exploit them.
