5th seminar of professionalism in health Service begun
The first day of this seminar was held with an inauguration program, appreciation from top scientists, and a panel of lifestyle.
5th seminar of Professionalism in health service begun in 23rd February with cooperation of medical service organisation and scientific, cultural foundation of professor Bahadori.
At first, Dr.Bahadori head of alumni office said:'one honour of alumni office established cultural, scientific foundation for University promotion, activities such as professionalism seminar in health Services and medical modality'.
Head of alumni Office said:' one of problems in professionalism is lifestyle of medicines, high medical costs, Doctors' working hours and the spread of various diseases'.
At following, Dr. Dowlati chief of Seminar said that along my 40-years service, I haven't received any salary because of my free 12-year education in TUMS.
Dr. Ghenaati President of TUMS said: ' professionalism debate is an important issue that if we don't pay attention to that we neglected, professionalism and medicine merged and medicine commitment is very important'.
He continued:' Universities and organisations like medical service organisation, have important role in professionalism'.
Dr. Qanati said: The health system is a sacred system and it is different from other jobs and this sanctity must be preserved. I hope that this seminar will pay more attention to these issues and provide practical solutions to solve these problems.
The president of the university pointed out: the establishment of justice is also part of the duties of a doctor and the duty of a doctor is not just to study. We physicians all have a social mission, and more than half of that social and moral mission is forgiveness, sacrifice, and knowledge, and in other words, the physician is a sage.
After the opening ceremony, a ceremony of appreciation of the 5 selected professional commitment was held by the President of the University with a plaque and a statue.
Dr. Seyed Hossein Ahmadi Cardiac Surgeon Dr. Mahmoud Farhoudi Internal Medicine Specialist (Mashhad University of Medical Sciences), Dr. Talat Mokhtari Azad (Virologist), Dr. Gholamreza Amin (Pharmacist) and Dr. Saeed Talebian Moghadam (Physiotherapist) were the winners of the fifth Professionalism seminar in health services.
Then, a panel on professional commitment and lifestyle was held in the medical staff, chaired by Dr. Homayoun Amini, with the topics of burnout and resilience, abuse of drugs and substances, conscience, work-life balance, and health care and disease prevention. In this panel, Dr. Azarakhsh Mokri, Dr. Ali Farhoudian, Dr. Ali Akbar Nejati Safa and Dr. Kazemifar discussed the mentioned axes.
