A delegation from Afghanistan paid a visit to Tehran School of Nursing & Midwifery

The Dean of Kabul University, along with officials of Ghazanfar Institute for Health Sciences paid a visit to the School of Nursing and Midwifery on Sunday 26 Feb 2017.
Dr. Alireza Nikbakht Nasrabadi, the School’s Vice-Dean for International Affairs welcomed the delegation and referred to Afghanistan as neighboring country that has many cultural similarities with Iran, He added that, this closeness and similarities gives us unique opportunity for exchange and transfer of scientific knowledge between the two countries. He referred to existing Afghan students that are currently studying at school at BSc and MSc levels through the TUMS MoU with Afghanistan Ministry of Higher Education and expressed hope that soon the school will have Afghan students at PhD level.
Dr Sadooghi the school’s director of international affairs’ development presented a brief presentation on the school’s history, educational capacity and facilities. Dr Sadooghi also talked about some of the school’s existing international programs such as; exchange programs, joint research projects with foreign universities, international workshops (online, etc), and summer courses.
Dr. Agha Zarif the Dean of Kabul University presented a brief history of Kabul University and talked about Kabul University's capacity for cooperation with the school in areas such as science, research and education.
Then, the school’s vice deans and heads of educational groups delivered a brief explanation about the courses, degrees, potentials, capacities and facilities of Tehran School of Nursing and Midwifery.
At the end, the delegation of Afghanistan visited the school’s skill lab, library, IT centers, and postgraduate classromms.
