Dr. nikkhu as one of professors & pioneer alumni in Tehran University of Medical Sciences, please explain us your memories?
I was born in 1928 in one of old Tehran neighborhoods in Badr School and second cycle in Elmieh high school, after that I participated in medical school exam and graduated from Tehran University of Medical School, and after passing military service, I was employed there.
Explain us about kidney diseases.
First of all, I want to explain about hemodialysis in kidney patients that was invented about 70 years ago by wilian kelf and completed gradually. Kidney patients, that having Acute or chronic kidney failure with this invention, had been saved.
50 years ago, a center for treatment of kidney diseases was lunched in Imam Khomeini (RAH), was decided to send a medical group to Europe for education of Acute or chronic kidney failure and I was one of them.
After passing educational course, in 1962, we lunched artificial kidney center in Imam Khomeini (RAH).
Dr. Nikkhu kidney transplantation has been done by you in Imam Khomeini (RAH) complex, can you explain more.
For the first time, we have done kidney transplantation in Imam Khomeini (RAH) complex with live patient. Of course today this surgery is doing in Iran very well.
Professor, we like you explain more about your private life for example how many sisters and brothers you have?
My family had 2 girls & 3 boys; one of my sons has chemistry engineering from England and another son is pharmacist and another son is in Germany and one of my daughters had graduated in nutrition and another daughter is housewife.
How do you compare research works at now and past?
At now, research works are better and is more than past and this is for facilities at nowadays.
You have experience of living in abroad, how about you hadn’t go abroad?
We have only gone for education; it’s not good to stay there, because culture situation in here and there is different from each other and secondly our government has spent money for us and we must be in service of patients.
Have you gotten a prize in congress or seminar?
Of course, I have participated in many congresses but I didn’t catch a prize, I remember in past years, a celebration was held and appreciated from retired professors of Tehran University of Medical sciences like me.
What year have you retired?
I’ve retired in 1975; I participated in nephrology congresses sometimes.
What’s your message for young student who have entered to medical course?
We have to see, what is really needed for our country and according to that we must move. For servicing better, our science must be up to date and educate others what we learned.
