TUMSAO: Dr. Abbas Ali Karimi, president of the university, after a recovering from his knee surgery, at a meeting of board of directors that was  held in 11th July in darolfonun Hall, condolences martyrdom of Imam Jawad (AS) & said: I think after two surgery knees, I got another chance to be on the board of Directors and in the presence of my colleagues.

Head of University said that he was suffering knee pain for a long time &  it's requiring surgery and got it postponed But on the advice of Dr. Tahmasebi, a member of the faculty of the orthopedic department at Shariati Hospital, I decided to operate on my left knee, which was in serious need, on June 20, at Shariati Hospital. Then, according to the conditions there, one morning last Saturday  I operate another knee Although surgery Total knee (total knee replacement) seemingly is simple, but requires long-term care.

 Dr. Karimi, appreciating the director and staff of Shariati Hospital and Dr. Tahmasebi, in expressing his current situation, said: "When I was sick, as a patient, I obey my doctor and follow the medical instructions exactly according to the opinion of my doctor." This morning, a week after the second operation, I was visited by Dr. Tahmasebi, and he was satisfied with the recovery process and allowed me to attend the board meeting. I tolerate pain with using strong painkillers  and I hope I can continue my work.

Rector of the University, in response to the uncertainty that may be for some time to perform the operation and management changes occur, said when the issue of both personal and work were expressed Despite the good advice of some colleagues I did not delay surgical time,  and I am glad that today I came back to the work.

Rector of the University in another part of his speech, after hearing the report of the Board of Directors about the Hospital's mission Yas as a  General Hospital, we integrated the management of two hospitals and turned it into a general hospital with about 400 beds; Because this capacity instead a single specialty women. Finally, with the support of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Development, Education, Research of University, Yas turns out to  a general hospital, that all areas of expertise is done.

In another part of his speech, referring to the sensitive atmosphere of the country at this time, the president of the university said: 'I had not experienced such a now situation in the last 40 years. Since the university is our place of work and life; We are in stable condition. change of responsibility don't establish feeling bad but some other authorities in other places feel bad and expressed criticism of human morality and media spur these conditions. 

Dr. Karimi emphasized that I am not against criticism, but criticism should be fair, Dr. Karimi added: "We may also have harsher criticisms of some actions; But we must also consider the time conditions. Criticism to the Ministry of Health must be fairly, it is also difficult in the past 18 months because it was under pressure of disease and also 80 million population are covered;

Criticism should be presented scientifically and with appropriate literature and in its place, and a solution should be provided along with it. This is an approach that we should pay attention to in the university.

 University President in gathering of his speech said:'we're trying to  dissolve works honestly in the final days of this period, with a macro view we assume the responsibility of the Ministry of Health and the University deliver safely.

Then the doctor Farshad Allameh University treatment assistant pointed to the fifth wave Corona  and said peak intensity of fifth wave is expanding to the first and fourth wave. 

He pointed to control of mortality in the fourth wave of Corona and said the mortality in the fourth wave is less than the Previous peak  and I hope this trend continues in the Hospitals of the University in the fifth wave. 

University treatment deputy, in his speech, referring the covid patients and expressed daily hospitalizations & Outpatients.

He also pointing to set up the General parts in Yas Hospital and said: Yas hospital, with the support of the doctor Karimi, doctor Biglar deputy director of management development and planning and doctor Nafisi Chairman of School of Medicine, is closing to its original mission as general hospital and in the field of neurosurgery, internal medicine, ear, nose and throat accept patient. At now, the capacity of the facility is complete and is pursuing the launch of the new parts. 

The emphasis on the maintenance and displacement of vaccine effectiveness

Dr. Akbar Fotoohi member of the Board of Directors said about the last steps in the preparation of the four-year performance of university, and added:"three books is published in three areas of  deputies, colleges and hospitals . The preliminary draft for the survey of deputies, heads of departments and hospitals have been written and the second version is also sent soon for getting votes.
