First conference of TUMS’s midwifery course alumni was held
TUMSAO: TUMS’s midwifery course (1987 - 91) renewed their memories of education course after 23 years.
TUMSAO: First conference of TUMS’s midwifery course alumni was held on Thursday in 04/09/2014. This conference was held with presence of Dr Bahadori, head of alumni office, Dr Gatmiri vice chancellor of alumni office, Dr Cheraghi head of midwifery school and many more alumni.
In this ceremony head of alumni office said that midwifery is very important and effective course and remembered:’ what nurses do with their little equipments is self-sacrifice, we proud to you, your course can not be used in a business and is solver of people’s pain.’
Medical occupation is useless without nursing. He added that nursing and TUMS’s nursing and midwifery school is most important school around the country. This college has educated many professors around the world.
He also pointed out set up of alumni office in TUMS 2006, said:’ with efforts of Dr Larijani former head of TUMS and Dr Gatmiri this office was constructed’ he also added that Nursing school’s alumni office is one of the active branches.
Dr Bahadori said that alumni are an important capital for University that they must improve their relation with University.
At continuation of this ceremony, head of nursing and Midwifery College said that this college around the country is a renowned brand and this brand is very important for me.
Dean noted to ethical charter and strategies plan of school that is purity in thought, gentleness in speech and elegance in ethics.
Dr Cheraghi expressed that in future year, we hope that we have more than %65 faculties in PhD level.
Dr Gatmiri vice chancellor of alumni office, added:’ establishment of link between alumni and University in more expansive horizon is main target of alumni office.’ And said:’ this relation between alumni and University leads to promote their placement.’
In this ceremony, some gifts in behalf of alumni were donated to professors; also some statutes were donated to elite.
Also behalf of midwifery community was appreciated from Rahman reza Yousefi, health group manager of IRIB 1. At the end of this ceremony, traditional music was held and guests welcomed this part of ceremony. At the end of this ceremony, gusts are welcomed to dining room.
