Excellency Mesdaghinia, hello and thank you for invitation accepted, please explain a brief of your private life and your studies.

In the name of god, I’m Alireza Mesdaghinia born 10^th farvardin 1325 in Suburbs of Kashan, I passed elementary education in Badrood kashan and High school in two schools. In 1344 I could be success to achieve diploma in mathematics and accepted in mathematics course in Esfahan University in 1349 and passed military service within two years.

Master course period was very excellent for me and    became first student; I got scholarships for America for PhD period and obtained my degree from University of Kansas.

And immediately came back to Iran in 1361 and was employed in Tehran University School of Public Health.

          Why did you choose this university as place of your education?

          Because there was my favourite course only in Tehran University School of Public Health and this university is the most renowned in Iran and world knows it, I decided to be accepted in this university and I could change my life.         

Dr. Mesdaghinia, how can the young graduates do take advantage from your experiences and other veterans for creativity and innovation?

It’s a good question, in our time for entering in university must work too hard and at that time of education, student must study all of the time to serve to his country and got a better position in his future profession. But nowadays these things happen rarely for some problems. Students accept two or three of their professors as pattern and follow their behaviours. I mention this point to students especially to masters and PhD students; they should work in a place of country and if they haven’t enough store problems will occur, more scientific store and more experience will make more satisfaction.

How can office communicate with graduates take advantage from experiences and expertise of graduates in order to be effective in promoting organizational culture?

In first step I want to say Congratulations to Tehran University of Medical Sciences and Dr Behady and other offices involved, this office in the University as the oldest university in the country was empty. Because usually large university alumni office in the world are interconnected with Alumni, and help to financial system, executive system, scientific and academic courses in which they had studied, Currently if our graduates want to enhance the school level in terms of scientific and other potentials, actually they can and there is possibility, office can  play effective role in progress .

What you talking for those who just want to come into the Health Sciences?

 I always said that must know that health is a knowledge and activity that related to the various aspects of life, and on the other hand success in that work won’t be able until working with people. Establish cooperation and get advantage of all facilities to the country for being able to find success in that field. Work is very sweet if someone could step in to this path and continue his activity.

Thus, students who enter to this school must know some of the social sciences, some Psychology, some epidemiology and statistics that can have a good analytical vision. If they have this information and enter to the community and participate in country development and health development that is the most important development index can proud to them.

Can you please explain more about your scientific activities?

When I got into the School of Health and began my work as an assistant professor in the Department of Environmental Health, at the same time in School of Cultural Revolution in branch of medical science called the Health category, I was working with colleagues to start programming for different fields. I and my colleagues, pursue environmental health fields, in Master and PHD courses.

We soon started admission of PHD student and I could have a significant number of Ma and PhD courses theses and I'm happy. I could publish significant number of articles inside and outside the country in about 170 articles. We publish two Journals - Research in the field of environmental health that one of them English, and one Persian. Fortunately, our English-language journal in the ISI website was registered. I have had several lectures on scientific meetings within and outside the country and there are numerous research projects and activities on my CV. But heavy administrative activities decrease amount of scientific activities in this regard I’m upset and I know that there are other things I should do in other places and I have satisfaction totally.

As college presidency, how do you see scientific activities in school now?

 Fortunately, faculty consistently throughout the history of its existence has been very successful. College originators have designed the school system so the school had always certain specific academic programs and great professors. What today primary health care network called PHC, is one product of Health Department.

Now Health Faculty is one of the active faculties in Tehran University. This school currently has 11 departments.18 Master courses, 16 PHD courses and 10 - 12 MPH courses toward five years ago achieved great success. College helps publish of nine science magazines, which 5 are published in English Journal, four magazines in the ISI site have published and if you have the harvest that 25 country-level medical journal in the ISI site is registered and four of magazines belong to Tehran University School of Public Health; It’s a very good situation.

 According to the statistics of health department, in last year we published 560 articles that article per capita for each scientific board is 4/2 that it’s a bright figure in the whole country.
