Professor Bahadori, these days alumni office is providing facilities for integrated ceremony, can you explain more this ceremony.

About 5years ago, we decided to hold this ceremony as integrated. We have 2 reasons for this. First of all, for its importance and reason is alumni must be familiar with each other, and must be ready for servicing to country. There is this celebration in the universities around the world. If you go USA late May, in all of great cities, you’ll see all of students with graduation cloth. Of course integrated ceremony hasn’t any conflict with private celebration in schools and all of schools can hold private celebration for themselves.

Please, explain us about held ceremonies?

Alumni office within 2012-2015, has held integrated ceremonies coherently, this year we hold 5^th integrated ceremony. For holding this ceremony, we always have 2 great problems: first of all not having a suitable place for celebration and we should prepare holding place of ceremony. Secondly time of holding ceremony, because weather conditions and outdoor programs. Holding time of celebration is postponed to mid-summer. We detect place of ceremony through consolation with students and responsible. I hope this program will be held in a suitable place this year.

What’s your opinion about message of this ceremony?

This is a helpful action and alumni office tries to hold this ceremony with three goals:    1. expressing to Iranian society, how many students have been graduate from Tehran University of Medical Sciences from past years.

2. Second goal is establishing close relation with different schools.

3. Third goal is expressing taxes as budget is delivered to University, not spent in vain and these taxes were spent in the field of increasing science, technology and educating manpower.

What’s your opinion about this point that what interest schools benefit from graduation celebration?

Whatever schools have more coordination with students, its greatness will be more, one part of this celebration is belonged to students but most important part is belonged to University, one important benefit of integrated ceremony is close cooperation and coordination among faculty and alumni office is an important device which can establish this contact.                    

What advice do you have in the field of alumni cooperation in this ceremony?

We are happy that trustee board and administrator of university interested in this ceremony. When we offer this ceremony to former President, he accepted interestedly. At now current president has a special attention to this celebration. Of course Students cooperation for doing this ceremony is one of important issues.

How do you see the presence of expert groups in this celebration?

This celebration is for all students and whatever scientific level is higher, this celebration is more relevant. Unfortunately social movements in Iran are weak therefor higher levels alumni have a little cooperation in this ceremony. In great universities around the world, have this ceremony and higher levels alumni have more cooperation in this ceremony.

How do we make culture?

First of all, these ceremonies must be repeated, although its implementation is hard. Secondly country’s culture should emphasize in higher education and we haven’t enough coherence. One of alumni office duties is maintaining coherence among scientific levels.
