TUMSAO News: first seminar of professional commitment in health services was held on Thursday 9th March 2017 in hall of Martyr Kawoosi in TUMS.
Dr. Sayad Ahmadian: Dispute of professional commitment wasn’t paid attention enough to health activities at now.
At the first of this session, Dr. sayed ahmadian executive secretary of seminar after welcoming to the audience said:’ selection of professional commitment, because of being applicable, it is required for all of people who are working in health field.’
At the end of his speech added:’ scientific cultural foundation of Dr. Bahadori is humanism and it is non-Governmental and non-political and aim of invitation of alumni cooperation is supporting of educational and treatment centers and I hope with attention to professors’ placement in medical society, it may be origin of effects.’
Dr. Larijani: TUMS has a great capacity for establishment of effective movements in country.
At the following this ceremony, Dr. Larijani vice chancellor of education in health ministry said:’ this session has important for two reasons: first considered subject, second efforts of Dr. Bahadori and their colleagues in cultural scientific foundation of prof. Bahadori.’
He noted to high capacity of TUMS in making pattern and said:’ TUMS has unique capacity like Dr. Bahadori and it needs to set up a mechanism for improvement of situation of health system;’
He added:’ one important index of 3rd generation of universities is financial independency against government and these universities try to contact with knowledge base companies, provide their required budget. But Universities’ of our country provide their budgets through government and tuition more than %90.
He also added:’ through history of our country culture is an important principle and nowadays, we must survey why it hasn’t priority.’
At the end of his speech he said: ‘I thank you for your selection of professionalism subject and I thank to Dr. Jafarian for working on this subject, at the first of accepting his responsibility in this University.’
Professor Bahadori: one of our problems in medical field is dispute of professionalism.
In next part of this session, Professor Bahadori Head of alumni office said:’ among all of activities of alumni office, appreciation from persistent University’s professors, I believe that all of alumni from TUMS are members of a body that they must coordinate with each other.’
He also added:’ we had a consulting meeting with Dr. amini, it was decided to hold a seminar with professionalism subject annually.’
He said:’ we must try to replace medical services with our situation at now.’

Dr. Jafarian: We must have all of our efforts to institutionalize professional commitment in health activists.
At following this session, scientific program of Dr. Jafarian continued with this lecture:’ professionalism commitment’
At first of his speech, Dr. Jafarian said:’ I thank to all audience specially Dr. Larijani, professor Bahadori.’ And continued:’ Our University can be a pattern and I hope that can be appropriate result in the country.’ He also added:’ in professionalism field, we have two words: 1.professional behavior and 2. Professional commitment; these two concepts, in spite of being similarity, sometimes do not fit together it means that one person may have professional behavior and may haven’t commitment or vice versa.’
In another part of his speech said:’ accordance to Gallup poll, confidence of people to medicines in USA is more than %65 and in Iran is more than %64. Then we must institutionalize this value among activists in this field.’
Holding special panels
After lecture of Dr. jafarian first panel was held with title of: professional commitment in medicine today, and second panel was held with title of need to promotion of confidence in the medical profession and third panel was held with title of professional behavior in internet.
This seminar was ended in 15:30.
